OLI moves into Trade Department Tower in Mong Kok.
學院辦事處遷往旺角貿易署大樓。
1991
The OLI offers its first degree programme
in Chinese.
學院開設首個以中文為教學語言的學位課程。
1997
The Legislative Council passes the OLI (Amendment) Bill 1997 renaming
OLI as “The Open University of
Hong Kong” (OUHK).
立法會三讀通過學院正名為「香港公開大學」。
2000
The Centre for Continuing and Community Education is renamed as the Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional and Continuing Education (LiPACE).
持續及社區教育中心易名為
「李嘉誠專業進修學院」。
1989
The Open Learning Institute of Hong Kong (OLI) is established by legislation. 4,237 students enrol in the first eight courses.
香港公開進修學院經立法正式成立，首批4,237名學生入學修讀八個學位科目。
1996
OLI moves to a new campus in Ho Man Tin.
The Government grants OLI self-accrediting status.
位於何文田的新校舍開幕。
政府授予學院自我評審資格。
1999
OUHK receives the prestigious Award of Excellence for Institutional Achievement in Distance Education from the Commonwealth of Learning (COL).
英聯邦進修組織頒發「遙距教育學府卓越成就獎」予公開大學。
2003
OUHK launches its first full-time honours degree programme offering full articulation for Associate Degree holders.
首次開辦全日制榮譽學士學位課程，
供副學士學位持有人修讀。
