Dr Vanessa Dennen, Professor of Instructional Systems & Learning Technologies, joined the faculty at Florida State University in 2003. Vanessa currently serves as the Program Coordinator for Instructional Systems & Learning Technologies and Academic Director of the EdD Program in Learning Design & Performance Technology. She conducts research on networked knowledge activities in professional development settings, the use of emerging online technologies to support formal and informal learning, and the development of identity and community in social media environments. She co-leads the Students, Social Media & Schools Research Group at FSU. She has authored more than 100 publications, and has co-edited three books, Virtual Professional Development and Informal learning in Online Environments (IGI, 2013), Social Presence and Identity in Online Learning (Taylor & Francis, 2019), and Reshaping International Teaching and Learning: Universities in the Digital Age (Routledge, 2021). Vanessa currently serves as Editor in Chief of The Internet and Higher Education. She delivers professional development workshops and webinars internationally on topics such as designing for open learning environments, developing online presence, social media integration in the classroom, and instructional design for active learning. David Boud is Alfred Deakin Professor and Foundation Director of the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning at Deakin University, Melbourne, he is also Emeritus Professor at the University of Technology Sydney. He has previously held positions of Head of School, Associate Dean and Dean of the University Graduate School at UTS. He has published extensively on teaching, learning and assessment in higher and professional education. His current work focuses on the areas of assessment for learning in higher education, academic formation and workplace learning. He is one of the most highly cited scholars in the world in the field of higher education (h-index of 93). He has been a pioneer in developing learning-centred approaches to assessment across the disciplines, particularly in building assessment skills for long-term learning ( Developing Evaluative Judgement in Higher Education, Routledge), designing new approaches to feedback (Feedback in Higher and Professional Education, Routledge; The Impact of Feedback in Higher Education: Improving assessment outcomes for learners, Palgrave Macmillan) and the implications of the digital for assessment ( Re-imagining University Assessment in a Digital World, Springer)

David S. Lee is a principal lecturer at the University of Hong Kong Business School where he is active in the areas of business ethics, corporate governance, fintech, and leadership. His teaching practice spans undergraduate, master’s degrees, MBA, EMBA, and executive education courses. He is the first business school academic to receive a UGC Teaching Award. Prior to HKU, David worked in law and finance. He is a co-author of a leading Asia focused business ethics textbook and a co-teacher for an award-winning online course titled Fintech Ethics and Risks. David strives to be an impactful teacher by leveraging his diverse professional and educational background. He received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, master’s degrees from Harvard and the London School of Economics & Political Science, post-graduate training at Cambridge, and his B.A. from Brigham Young University.

Dr Sean McMinn is the Director and Adjunct Associate Professor for the English Language Centre, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Professor of Language. Having nearly 20 years’ experience in higher education, Sean has taught a range of subjects, such as EAP, Digital Literacies, and Social Complex Systems, and has research interests in educational technology, digital literacies, and networked learning.
